Connections Begin In The ‘Grove And Go Beyond

Susquehanna’s 22,000 alumni are connected across the globe. From New York to the United Kingdom, Los Angeles to Singapore and everywhere in between, the university’s global footprint reaches far and wide.

Led by Susquehanna University’s Alumni Association Board, there are many ways in which alumni can remain connected to each other and their alma mater — regardless of where they are in the world.

Alumni Association Board

The mission of Susquehanna University’s Alumni Association Board is to enrich the lives of Susquehanna’s alumni and students by bringing the alumni community together through various activities and programs meant to deepen engagement with each other and the university. Alumni Board members also serve as ambassadors and philanthropists; act as a conduit between the alumni community, current and prospective students; and work to ensure that students enjoy the same academic experiences and opportunities for personal and professional growth that generations of Susquehannans enjoyed during their own time on campus.

Additionally, the Alumni Board regularly supports signature programs and events like Homecoming–Reunion Weekend, Break Through, regional alumni events and OneSU, Susquehanna’s annual day of giving.

Nominate Future Board Members

You can nominate a fellow Susquehannan or yourself. Nominations are reviewed annually beginning each calendar year. Term begins July 1 and is a three-year commitment. New members are ratified at the fall meeting. Nominees should meet the following criteria:

  • Representative — Willing to serve as a representative voice across their respective units, divisions, geographies, cultures/ethnicities, personal identities, volunteer activities, student affiliations, etc.
  • Ambassador — Attends or has attended a minimum of two local/regional events.
  • Giving — Is or willing to be an annual or semi-annual donor.

Affinity Groups

Susquehanna alumni networks bring together graduates who share a common bond — whether it’s a major, profession, identity, region, or passion. These groups are created by alumni, for alumni, often in partnership with Alumni Relations or Susquehanna faculty and staff. Whether you’re looking to reconnect, lead, or simply belong, there’s a network waiting for you. Ready to join or start one? Let’s make it happen — together.

Celebrate Outstanding Alumni!

Nominate a fellow River Hawk for one of two honors: the Emerging Champion Award (graduates from 2010–2024) or the Exceptional Champion Award (Class of 2009 or earlier). These awards recognize achievement, leadership and service. Honorees are celebrated at signature events throughout the year.
