I am an Associate Professor of Economics at the Sigmund Wise School of Business. I am originally from Ukraine but have been in the US for more than 20 years. I received my undergraduate degree in Business from Lock Haven University and my PhD in Economics from Clemson University. I am a trained labor economist but I do research primarily in health economics. The major focus of my research is the study of the effects of early investments and interventions on the health and well-being of children. Some of my work has appeared in top health economics journals including the Journal of Health Economics, the American Journal of Health Economics, Health Economics, and others. At Susquehanna University, I usually teach Principles of Microeconomics, International Trade and Finance, Labor Economics, and Health Economics. Working with students and cultivating their interest in economics is one of the favorite parts of my job!
